Sibel Pensel

Sibel Pensel gives master classes and concerts in many countries such as various European countries, China, Korea, Japan, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Cuba, Ecuador and in several universities in the United States of America. She is frequently invited as a jury member in major international competitions such as the Japan Biwako Flute Competition, the China Nicolet Flute Competition, the Berliner International Music Competition, the Varna Flute Competition, the Portugal Flute Competition, and the Poland Towarnicki Flute Competition.

She has recorded several CDs with the record label “Chant de Linos Company”. Several composers have written works for Sibel Pensel, which are among the most important pieces in the flute repertoire. She also works along with “Editions Da Camera” for the pedagogical development of the flute repertoire. As the Chairman of the “A travers la flute” association (www.atraverslaflute.fr), she organizes flute festivals and the prestigious International Maxence Larrieu-Nice Flute Competition.

She is a professor at the National Conservatory of Nice and the Côte d’Azur University. Students from all over the world come for her appreciated and reputed teaching.

Sibel Pensel obtained the National Diploma of Music Postgraduate (unanimous Flute First Prize with Honours) at the “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique” of Lyon. On October 2016, as an ambassador of the French flute throughout the world, Sibel Pensel has been decorated by the “Société d’Encouragement au Progrès” at the “Ecole Militaire” in Paris.
