    Theresa Schroettle

    Since 2016, Theresa Schroettle has been a Miyazawa International Endorser. Theresa plays a Miyazawa BR-925-1-REH full silver flute in the Heavy wall variant. She also uses a Miyazawa Alto-SH in her work.

Theresa Schroettle hails from the Donau-Ries region and enjoyed her childhood on her parents’ farm in Laub. At the age of 9, she began taking flute lessons at the Rieser Music School in Nördlingen with Christian Möwes. After being accepted into the advanced class there, she was awarded the Youth Advancement Prize of the Fritz and Liselotte Hopf Foundation in 2010.

After graduating from high school, she studied flute as her main subject with a focus on artistic and pedagogical training at the University of Music in Nuremberg under Prof. Marcos Fregnani. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2015 with an additional focus on “Elementary Music Education.” In July 2017, she graduated with top honors from the Master’s program “Instrumental Music Making in Large Groups.”

Her education was further enriched by participating in various workshops and master classes with Barthold Kuijken, Tilmann Dehnhard, Prof. Dr. Peter Thalheimer, and Doug Goodkin. Artistically, Theresa Schröttle is active in the Dinkelsbühl Project Orchestra “Klassik hautnah,” the Oettingen Bach Orchestra, and as a chamber musician and soloist. From 2015 to 2019, she independently led the youth band of the Musikkapelle Reimlingen e.V. with around 35 members. In the Nuremberg area, she and the ensemble “quer muss es sein!” organized numerous interactive children’s concerts in kindergartens and primary schools.

Since June 2016, she has been teaching flute, early musical education, and the 1st grade classes in the Freising JEKI project (An Instrument for Every Child) at the 3klang Music Institute. Since September 2019, she has been the deputy principal at 3klang, Bavaria’s largest independent music school, in Freising.
