Cresta is the physical representation of wants and dreams. Crafted from the culmination of techniques developed and refined over the years, we strive to perfect the art of flute-making. A richly expressive headjoint style was designed to specifically complement the nuances of the Cresta scale, unlocking resonance and maximizing responsiveness.

How We Developed the Cresta Series

The Cresta series is a flagship line representing the voice, magnitude, and passion of the global Miyazawa family. The development of the models was inclusive of extensive worldwide feedback. The concept of Cresta evolved from conversations between founder Masashi Miyazawa and his son and current president, Kazu Miyazawa. Miyazawa’s 50th Anniversary helped shape the growth and evolution of Cresta.

The father and son duo created prototypes over the course of several years, as the development of the line was inclusive of extensive worldwide feedback. Cresta is proud to be a legacy celebrating Miyazawa’s ingenuity, care, and passion for flutists.
